Looking again at our most recent website project reminded us how important it is for everyone to stop and think about their image. Which qualities do you aim to demonstrate to those customers that you meet in person? Perhaps it is important for you to appear professional, well-organised, knowledgeable and reliable? Or perhaps your priority is to highlight your creativity or originality, to stand out from your competitors? If your first contact with potential customers is not in person butRead More→
Here is another website refresh to share with you. We have modernised the look and layout for Leithen Business Services, making sure that their new WordPress website was responsive and user friendly. We also did some work to improve search engine optimisation on the website (not that it’s needed as Leithen Business Services are pretty busy from word-of-mouth already!).
We’ve not exactly been practising what we preach over the past few weeks and haven’t been updating this News page regularly…. it’s good that we’re too busy I suppose! We do have a new WordPress website to share this week, March Street Holiday Flat in Peebles. You might recognise a bit of a theme here – the owners, Pauline and Danny, already run Pirn Road Holiday Apartment in Innerleithen, so wanted the websites to be similar in style and layout.Read More→
We’re pleased to say we’re ahead of schedule this month – all our hosted websites have been updated to the latest WordPress and plugin versions, our newest website has been handed over to our client to edit the content and quotes for two new websites have been sent out. And all of our Christmas shopping has been done… well apart from the food but we’ve a bit of time before that’s needed! So we’ve a few things on our listRead More→
This month sees the annual Tweed Valley Forest Festival, now bigger and better than ever with lots of new events. To share these dates, details and lots of fantastic photographs there’s now a brand new forest-festival.com website. Moving the Tweed Valley Forest Festival website onto WordPress gives the organisers a website which is easy to update and maintain. It also gives a stable and reliable platform for the website which will be kept up to date by Web Leithen asRead More→
We’ve been a bit busy for the past few months so adding our news to the Web Leithen website has remained at the bottom of our to-do list for quite some time… Do you have something on your list that just hangs around and keeps getting put off until the next week? Perhaps “sort out website” is the thing that you never quite get around to doing? If so then why not get in touch to see how Web LeithenRead More→
Our latest website design for the very lovely Pirn Road Holiday Apartment here in Innerleithen. It’s been an extremely quick turn around over the last few days – the builders finished, the photos were taken, the first guests arrived, the photos were loaded to the website and it was all ready for some publicity during the Tweedlove biking festival! The apartment looks fantastic and we wish Pauline and Danny every success with their latest venture.
In case you didn’t get it from the heading, maintenance has been the other main task this Spring at Web Leithen. For the client websites that Web Leithen provide a hosting service for this has included the routine upgrading of WordPress and plugin software to the latest versions. More interestingly we have also been busy assisting another local website to improve their website content. This has included fixing broken links, checking the information is both correct and current, and contactingRead More→
In between enjoying Easter holidays and spring flowers we’ve finished a spring clean and refresh of the Web Leithen website. Last week we met with another new client who would like to do the same with their site – we are looking forward to starting work on that soon. Is it time to look again at your website and make some changes? We’re happy to help if you need some advice, just get in touch!

This gives control of the website to the client so saving them from being charged for updates to pages and posts. A WordPress website begins with a layout (theme) or framework, which can then be customised with colours, fonts, a logo and your content – website pages, news posts, heading and menus.
